Well, it's official - I'm on bed rest. And I'm trying to have the best outlook on this new little bump in the road. It's hard b/c I feel great - and I constantly have to remind myself I shouldnt do laundry, dishes, etc. And Jeff is swamped at work - he has a late night meeting tonight and then is going to grocery store - and here I am just laying around all day. I feel bad for him, not to mention he tends to be more of a 'worry-wart' than I am, so he is really concerned about Jillian and me.
So when I went to the Dr today, they did my blood pressure again, and it registered 140/101. They took it 2 more times and it came up 140/90. The Dr told me that I needed to go on maternity leave, rest at home, and not return to work. Then they hooked me up to a fetal monitor for about 30 minutes to make sure Jillian is doing well, and moving around enough - which she was.
I go in tomorrow morning for a sonogram of Jillian. They want to make sure she's handeling my elevated BP, and they are going to check the placenta, amniotic fluid, her breathing, her movements, etc. I also will get to find out how big she is! The Dr guessed today that she weighs 6 pounds!! That's pretty big for only 35 weeks!
Then I go back again on Thursday to see the Dr. I'm hoping he gives us a 'game-plan' for when she'll be born so Jeff and I can begin planning, in case she comes early. My friend who is a Labor and Delivery nurse says that most Dr's will induce around 37 weeks when the mom has high BP.... so we'll see.
I'll update the blog when I find out more!! Other than that, I'm just laying around trying to entertain myself. Now I have NO excuses for not finishing some of these baby books that have been sitting on my night stand for months :)

I'm sorry to hear that, Morgan. I hope you don't go crazy or get addicted to any soaps during the day! :)
I am SO excited for you, though. Being a mom is the BEST thing in the world!! (next to being a wife, of course ;).
Morgan.....i am sorry but look at it as a wonderful thing. You get to relax, get lots of sleep, and keep your feet up one last time before she arrives!! We are praying for you but we know it will be ok! These moments are ones that you look at your husband and love him more!! Love you lots!!!! Keep up posted.
I promise it's not as bad as you think it will be. The time will go by quickly and trust me, you will cherish these last days/weeks of total relaxation!
That is GREAT news that Jillian is doing fantastic and not affected by the BP...woo hoo! Can't wait for her to arrive. :)
