35 week update

So I went to the Dr today, expecting just another normal check up, but I was informed I have high blood pressure - ugh! They kept me there for an hour and monitored it, hoping it would go down, but it didnt. It was 147/99 which apparently is high. They proceeded with a blood test and I have an at-home urine test (I know you wanted to know that), and I go back Tuesday to see if I have to go on BED REST. seriously?? I'm so not happy about possible bed rest.

The Dr also told me to take it easy this weekend and watch out for a headache - if I get a headache, I have to call the Dr and they'll probably advise me to go to the hospital. And of course I get this 'take it easy' advice on the Friday before Memorial Day weekend. All of Jeff's family is coming in town this weekend and we have lots of fun things planned with them, and I also have a baby shower for me on Saturday (which I'm SO excited about!) I guess I'll just have to scale things back this weekend - again - not excited about it. But I'll do whatever it takes to protect little Jillian. I'll just stay calm and rest when I can :)

This pregnancy has been so easy and relatively painelss, I'm surprised there's a bump in the road now. My only aches are back pain and a shooting pain in my hip and down my leg. The Dr said it's probably Jillian hitting or resting on a nerve. Other than that, I feel great. This high blood pressure thing caught me off guard, and I'm hoping it was a one day fluke :)

I'm really REALLY hoping to have a good Dr visit on Tuesday and he forgoes bed rest. We'll see..... I'm crossing my fingers!
