a little over 27 weeks....

Wow, it's been a while since I've posted. I really dont have a good reason other than being swamped at work. At night, the last thing I want to do is post, but thankfully we re-hired one of our great employees today so I shouldnt be so tired when I get home at night.

So I'm now a few days past 27 weeks, and my Lord how I have grown in 4 weeks!
Cute little Austin wanted to be in the picture!
It's so strange to think that in just a few short days I'll be in my 3rd trimester! I can't believe how time has flown! I told Jeff over the weekend that in about 12 weeks our baby girl will be here (if she behaves and stays in my belly!) and his mouth flew open. He started jabbering off all the things he needs to - b/c man 12 weeks doesnt seem very far away at all! We're in the process of completely re-doing the nursery bath. Right now it's completely gutted, and next weekend (crossing my fingers) we should be able to start putting it back together. One of the great joys of owning a house built in the 50's is some awesome bathrooms (lots of sarcasm there). I'll post pics on the bathroom demo as it progresses.
So the nursery is coming along - all my big items are purchased and either here or on order. what a relief. We still need to paint and then it's just a waiting game for the glider and crib to arrive!
We take our birthing class this weekend, and Jeff is off to a 'Daddy Boot Camp' 3-hour class Thursday night. I'm so excited to go to these classes - I'm hoping I'll feel more comfortable about the 'mysterious' birthing process. I say mysterious b/c I want the down and dirty on what all is going to happen to me in the delivery room. If you've already had a baby - maybe you think I shouldn't know that... but we'll see! Speaking of - Jeff and I went to a wedding Saturday night and and heard about someone who is having an at home birth with a mid-wife. this completely boggled my mind. She is delivering at home, with a mid-wife, no meds, no epidural - just completely natural. I either think she's a little crazy (or alotta crazy) or extremely courageous. It would freak me out beyond belief knowing that if something went wrong, it's a car ride to the hospital. It would also freak me out knowing I can not get pain meds if the pain gets to bad.
Ok, off to finish up dinner and lay down for the night. Gotta rest this aching back of mine!

A few things for the little one...

So I've been steadily working on the nursery (which is SO fun!). I dont really have a whole lot to show as far as the nursery, other than the changing table we recently bought. Jefff's parents have been extremely generous and got us our crib, but it's still on order and probably wont come in for a few more weeks. I'm also about to order the glider, but again, that will take 4-6 weeks.... With all that said, here are a few items our little girl has waiting for her!

Check our her changing table! I got a chocolate brown with pink piping changing pad cover, that I can't wait to monogram with her Initial. Got it for a steal on the sale items at Restoration Hardware Baby - check it out! One of my favorite buys is that elephant lamp (not staying there). Also, I hung 3 of her favorite little outfits. The left one is a hooded towel from my mom, the middle is a precious newborn dress from our friends Caitlin & Chad, and Jeff bought her first little Aggie onsie! too cute!
Here is a closer up at some of her little outfits!

Here is an ADORABLE gift from Jeff's sister, Lauren. She just got back from honeymooning in India with her husband and got us this for our nursery! I havent decided where to hang it yet, but we love it!Here are a few more items - a cuddly elephant, a sage green blanket, little pacifier with a monkey for her to hold on to and a tiny bottle. (why does it look like the elephant lamp is about to fall over?)

A full shot of some of her little items!

Here is a close-up of little pink boots one of Jeff's friends got us. We're not huge into Cowboys outfits (altough Jeff swears he wore Wranglers everyday his freshman year at A&M. I cant believe that with how preppy he is now). But we think they're pretty darn cute!

A Bump Update

Alrighty, here are a few pics of my bump recently. I know it's been a while since I've posted pics. I feel I've grown SO much over the past 4 weeks. I'm now 24 weeks prego, so right at 6 months, and I can feel the extra weight. Especially when I roll over in bed or try and sit up from laying down.

So here I am at 22 weeks: (dont mind my arm in the way, I took it with my camera phone. Why I couldnt wait another hour for Jeff to get home to take the picture, I dont know)

And 23 weeks:
