So I'm now a few days past 27 weeks, and my Lord how I have grown in 4 weeks!
Cute little Austin wanted to be in the picture! It's so strange to think that in just a few short days I'll be in my 3rd trimester! I can't believe how time has flown! I told Jeff over the weekend that in about 12 weeks our baby girl will be here (if she behaves and stays in my belly!) and his mouth flew open. He started jabbering off all the things he needs to - b/c man 12 weeks doesnt seem very far away at all! We're in the process of completely re-doing the nursery bath. Right now it's completely gutted, and next weekend (crossing my fingers) we should be able to start putting it back together. One of the great joys of owning a house built in the 50's is some awesome bathrooms (lots of sarcasm there). I'll post pics on the bathroom demo as it progresses.
So the nursery is coming along - all my big items are purchased and either here or on order. what a relief. We still need to paint and then it's just a waiting game for the glider and crib to arrive!
We take our birthing class this weekend, and Jeff is off to a 'Daddy Boot Camp' 3-hour class Thursday night. I'm so excited to go to these classes - I'm hoping I'll feel more comfortable about the 'mysterious' birthing process. I say mysterious b/c I want the down and dirty on what all is going to happen to me in the delivery room. If you've already had a baby - maybe you think I shouldn't know that... but we'll see! Speaking of - Jeff and I went to a wedding Saturday night and and heard about someone who is having an at home birth with a mid-wife. this completely boggled my mind. She is delivering at home, with a mid-wife, no meds, no epidural - just completely natural. I either think she's a little crazy (or alotta crazy) or extremely courageous. It would freak me out beyond belief knowing that if something went wrong, it's a car ride to the hospital. It would also freak me out knowing I can not get pain meds if the pain gets to bad.
Ok, off to finish up dinner and lay down for the night. Gotta rest this aching back of mine!
