2 Months!

Sweet Haven is already 2 months old!  These past few weeks we have really settled in as a family.  We're more used to having to 2 kids, 2 schedules, 2 night-time routines, etc.   Haven has been transitioning so well!  He's made having 2 kids be a lot easier than it could it.

2 Month Highlights:
~ SMILES!!  He started smiling a few weeks ago, and they just keep getting better and bigger!  I love, love, love his gummy smiles!  He'll lock in on your your eyes and give you the best smile... melt my heart!
~ Eats 7x in 24 hours, I think around 3.5 oz each feeding.
~ Goes to bed around 7:30, gets a dream feed around 10 and then only wakes me up once where he'll quickly eat and then he wakes for the day around 7am.  Getting down to 1 night time waking has been a little difficult.  Jillian only woke for food in the middle of the night.  Period.  Haven would wake multiple times at night and not really be hungry.  I think those days are behind us... fingers crossed!  
~ BIG boy!  He weights 13.8 pds (90th percentile) and is 24.75" tall (95% percentile).  Wow.  Seems we raise giants over at the Gulbas household :)  I asked the Dr if his growth was a product of really rich milk or genetics.  He said it's almost all genetics.
~ Wears most 3-6 month clothing because he's so long.  Most 3 month clothing is too small/short and 6 months is to big.
~  Coos, kicks his legs like crazy when he's happy, and stares into your eyes when talking to him.  Enjoys being in the bumbo for shorts spurts. Loves his mobile and could stare at the toy above his changing table for hours.  He smiles almost every time he sees his changing table toy.

Let the SMILES begin!!!!

I have anxiously been waiting 6 weeks and 6 days for sweet Haven to purposefully SMILE at me.  He did today!!!  He was in a great mood this morning so Jeff and I took turns talking sweet to him trying to get a smile... and we did!  Here's the best picture I could get of our little guy this afternoon smiling.

Jeff HATES and I mean HATES when I put mittens on Haven.  You know what I hate even more??  A newborn with scratches all over his face.  So the mittens will stay on for a little while longer.  

Jeff now refers to them as his boxing gloves...

 In other news.... Jillian continues to be so MUCH fun!  Jeff's Aunt Jackie sent Haven a precious monogrammed football and she sent Jillian a monogrammed Apron too!  How sweet is that?!

This is a typical day at our house... Jillian is blinged out in serious accessories.   There is NO limit to the number of bracelets, necklaces or bows she wants to wear.
