Well we have big news! Jillian's birthday will more than likely be June 15th or June 18th!!
We went to the Dr Friday for a sonogram and to have my normal appointment. The sonogram was amazing!! Usually the sonographer is in a rush, and doesnt have time to 'play' during the sono. Well yesterday she had her teenage daughter along to teach her what she does - so she was really willing to play! What should have been a 5 minute sono was more like 15-20 minutes! She weighed her (exactly 7 pounds!), showed me all her organs and body parts, checked the fluid, placenta, cord, etc. Then she showed us her face and everytime I've had a sonogram you see a profile shot of Jillian's face. It's pretty boney and hard to make out what she really looks like. Not this time! Jillian looked right at the sono camera and we got to see her entire face, staring straight at us! I started crying - you could see her lips, chubby cheeks, eyes, everything! Jillian was wide awake during the sonogram and she was sticking her tongue in and out (I think practicing drinking or breathing??) and moving all around. Then the sonographer pulled out the 3D camera and took some shots - again she was really willing to play since her daughter was there. We didnt get any great shots of her in 3D since she was moving so much but it was soooo fun!! I cant believe I got to see her face yesterday! And I must admit, she's perfect!
Then I saw my Dr - again I still had high Blood Pressure. So he decided to run more blood tests on me, and I get those results back Monday. He then tells me that his plan is to induce me on Thursday June 18th! But, if he gets blood results back that he doesnt like on Monday, they'll induce me right then. So.... yesterday was an exciting day to say the least! We got to see Jillian, be reassured she's doing great, and now we have a game plan! So this weekend is full of last minute errands, organizing, laundry, etc. And of course, the Dr gave me strict orders (which he usually never does) to rest this weekend. So here I am with nesting instincts in over-drive and I have to lie on the couch. Luckily, my parents and Jeff are around all weekend and will be doing all the work.... which is so hard for me to do!!
So that about wraps it up, my parents will probably be back over sometime late morning to help us get our house ready to go... can't believe she'll be here in either 2 days or 5 days!!!
