Christmas!

We had a very Merry Christmas!!  We always celebrate Christmas at my parents house, and it was such a fun year with Shelby, Matt and sweet baby Jaden in town for a week!!  Shelby and her family drove in the weekend before Christmas and I had great plans of me and Jillian staying at my parents a lot the week leading up to Christmas.  I wanted to love on Jaden and help out Shelby and Matt since they were exhausted from moving and the long drive.  BUT Jillian and I had our second nasty cold of the season so we quarantined ourselves here at the house.  The last thing a 9 week old baby needs is a bad cold.  Just when we both start feeling better, I was slammed with food poisoning on Tuesday and Wednesday... oh joy!!   I finally felt like leaving the house on Christmas Eve.... so I missed out on tons of time with my sister.  All eight of us went to candlelight Christmas Eve services at 4 that afternoon.   We spent the rest of day relaxing and catching up.

Christmas morning was so fun!  Jaden was apparently too excited to sleep with Santa coming so he kept Shelby and Matt up quite a bit the night before.   So while they slept in for a bit, we had to get cracking on Jillian's gifts.  Santa thought Jillian was a VERY good girl!  I really thought Jillian would love opening gifts this year.  NOPE.  After opening 3-4 all she wanted to do was run around and play with her new toys.  So I ended up unwrapping all the gifts I wrapped for her.  Ha!  Opening everyone's gifts seriously took most of the day, with all the breaks you have to take with 2 kiddos.  We had such a fun day!!

Opening her stocking from Bama & Unchie while eating an apple.

Sweet Jaden sleeping away!!

Unchie was so sweet to feed, rock, and hold Jaden while we unwrapped some gifts. He loved every single minute of it.

Loving on her new baby.

Jillian was quite obsessed with Jaden.  Here she is trying to give him her paci.

Our attempt at a group shot. Jill was not impressed.

Jeff's grandma Judy sent Jillian one of her favorite gifts - the 2006 Elmo that is no longer made.  Oh.my.word.  Jillian LOVES Elmo.  I have never seen a toy do what this toy does.  It's hilarious to see him roll around laughing and then stand back up.
 Elmo got an instant hug.

Trying to give Jaden a Cheerio.

That's all the pictures I took from Christmas.  It's tradition to stay in our Christmas PJ's all day, so we never take family photos.

Hope you had a Merry Christmas too!!!
